Steven R. Maimon’s professional career includes a wide range of experience in technical operations and middle and senior level management positions. In 1998, Mr. Maimon co-founded Maxam Industries Inc., with the objective of creating superior quality green and sustainable construction products.  He has developed a strong reputation for his innovative solutions and product development, as well as his industry knowledge.

Previously, Mr. Maimon provided business and consulting services to U.S. and foreign companies in over 20 countries in the areas of project management, business/market development and sales, technology transfer and product commercialization, licensing and strategic alliances, international trade and manufacturing. His experience includes serving as Founder and CEO of DSI, Inc. a coal trading and technology company; operations support for Eastman Kodak in South
Africa and Russia; consulting to the city of Moscow (Russia) regarding the modernization of its telephone system; management of a National Science Foundation program to establish a Middle East regional medical diagnostic ultrasound practice at the Cairo University Hospital in Egypt; contracting for the Defense Logistics Agency; and advisory services to a Marmon Group company regarding the establishment of a joint venture in Ukraine to manufacture coal conveyor belts. He also served as Director, Operations Planning of the Transition Team that privatized the U.S. Post Office Department and created the U.S. Postal Service.

Mr. Maimon earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Control Systems Engineering in 1962 and a Master’s of Science in BioMedical Engineering (Fellowship Grant) in 1963 from Drexel University.  He also earned a Master’s of Science in Systems Management (Fellowship Grant) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1965. He is an active member of the Licensing Executives Society since 1976.
